Chess club night in Fort Collins
Mondays from 6:30 PM until the last game ends, starting October 12, 2026 at Peak Community Church in Old Town Fort Collins. Just show up. Club games are US Chess events, so you need a current US Chess membership.

Saturday chess tournaments in Fort Collins
Monthly US Chess rated tournaments upstairs at Peak Community Church.
- First Saturdays from November 7, 2026 and fourth Saturdays from January 23, 2027: Classic. 4-round Swiss at G/30;+30, dual rated. Rounds at 10:00 AM, 12:15, 2:30, and 4:45 PM.
- Third Saturdays from November 21, 2026: Slow. 3-round Swiss at G/70;d10, regular rated. Rounds at 10:00 AM, 1:30, and 4:30 PM.
- Saturday, October 31, 2026: Knightmare Arena Classical. A Halloween arena at 30+30, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Play as many games as you can; the faster you finish, the more you play. US Chess rated.
Entry is $15, free for players under 18. If the fee is a hardship, pay what you can; no US Chess member is turned away. Every event needs a current US Chess membership. Players under 18 may come on their own. Parents remain responsible for them; the club doesn't supervise minors.

About us
The Larimer County Chess Club is a new chess club based in Fort Collins for players across Larimer County. We are forming as a Colorado nonprofit and will apply for 501(c)(3) status. What we do:
- Regular community play every week
- Tournaments rated by US Chess
- Free for players under 18
- Club dues, if any, are still to be decided
Everyone is welcome. You don't need to belong to the organizations whose buildings we use. All club events are US Chess events, so you do need a current US Chess membership to play.
